About the Role
The Senior Engineer, Audio Feature Validation (m/f/d) will be part of a cross functional team of audio domain experts. She/he will be responsible for developing and extending the validation strategy for the sound field control domain, as well as for planning, executing, and documenting the validation of new features that include SW, HW and user workflows. As part of the role she/he will also develop validation software, execute acoustic measurements, design subjective listening tests, and be responsible for the review of all the above.
In addition to a very good hands-on experience based on a solid academic foundation, 7 years+ experience in Audio validation and measurement she/he must be a passionate & culturally open individual, enthusiastic about closely working within a diverse team, with rigorous attention to the detail.

What You Need
Academic background - bachelor’s or master’s degree in Sound Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Signal Processing or equivalent.Audio Validation / Measurement - he/she shall have a strong experience in audio validation and must bring 7+ years hands on experience in validation strategy design, validation software development, acoustic measurement, and subjective listening tests. Additionally strong experience with the usage of state-of-the-art audio software applications is required. He/she shall also have hands on experience in using MATLAB and ideally Python. Knowledge in AI/ML domain and related fields is a plus. This experienced engineer shall bring a high-quality mindset und must be adamant about the role and value of validation in audio feature development.Acoustic/Electroacoustic/Signal Processing - the Senior Engineer, Audio Feature Validation must have a strong academic foundation combined with profound practical experience in electroacoustic, psychoacoustic and room acoustics with a focus on in automotive acoustics. He/she must be very familiar with the design, usage of acoustical measurement methods, tools and analysis of measurement results such as impulse responses, polar plots, spectrograms and similar. He/she shall have very good expertise in digital signal processing and also be familiar with acoustic simulations.Team Player - a considerate, forward-thinking individual with high ethical standards, accepting and representing accountability. Very good technical skills, analytical thinker and a well-organized and self-directed individual who is a strong team player, who can reach out beyond the immediate team to foster cooperations.Mentoring - experienced in digital (audio) signal processing, very good experience working in the Audio & or Automotive industry, resulting in the technical capability to guide less experienced engineers and lead by example.Software Product Development - experience with agile software development.What Makes You Eligible
