Key Responsibilities
Involved in task force in cross-functional organization to resolve multitude of gating issues that may arises from new product introduction, manufacturing and qualification runs
Develop Firmware that is used to test and Characterize SSDs and managed NAND products to ensure the functionality and quality of products shipped to customer.
Interact with the architecture, hardware, firmware, and firmware test teams located in multiple geographies to gain a full understanding of the firmware design.
Use your understanding of the firmware design to define test plans and to develop automated test scripts applying industry standard and internally developed test tools and platforms.
Execution of the automated tests run as part of a firmware continuous integration environment using software simulation and an FPGA platform.
Triage failures, file bug reports, and help the development teams with isolating issues.
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
In depth knowledge and extensive experience with embedded firmware development and validation.
Expertise in the use of scripting languages, programming tools and environments.
Proficiency in C++ and Embedded C and programming experience in Python.
Experience in the storage industry in SSD, HDD, storage systems, or a related technology.
Understanding of storage interfaces including ideally PCIe/NVMe, SATA, or SAS.
Experience with NAND flash and other non-volatile storage.
Working experience on I2C, SPI and SMBUS protocols is desirable.
Good to have knowledge on Jenkins.
Ability to work independently with a minimum of day-to-day supervision.
Ability to work in a cross functional team and under the pressure of multiple priorities.
