Key Responsibilities:
Senior Engineer – Aircraft Cybersecurity Operations is responsible for coordinating with internal and external partners - such as Avionics Engineering, Powerplant Engineering, Government Affairs, Corporate Security, Corporate Safety, Industry working groups, OEMs, and FAA - to drive United’s aircraft cybersecurity operations to be consistent with the latest developments in aviation cyber security. This individual will support identifying the aviation cyber risk landscape and will support driving cybersecurity threat analysis and assessment actions, perform security tests, and validate security mitigations that should be executed to ensure a safe and secure continued airworthiness for all United aircraft.
Perform aviation cyber risk assessments in accordance with industry standards and best practicesDevelop and present aviation cyber security risk-related papers, reports, alerts, and bulletinsMaintain and build relationships with key cyber security aviation partners both internal and external to the companyServe as a domain expert on third-party relations in the aviation space and the associated cyber security riskMentor team on aviation cyber risks and risk assessment methodologies. Educate junior team members in at least one function-specific domain.Leads continuous improvement efforts, including preparing and analyzing data to find opportunities for improvementUnited values diverse experiences, perspectives, and we encourage everyone who meets the minimum qualifications to apply.
