Our Senior Engineer is responsible for the Fabricated Equipment design for Turbomachinery products used in energy production, transformation, recovery and decarbonization. Major focus is on mechanical disciplines related to Gas Turbine fabricated components, e.g. Transition ducts, Turbine Rear Frame, Plenums, diffusers, Fabricated Turbine Casings, Seals, Pipes. We introduce new technology to enhance company profitability and productivity and also to work close to supply chain to drive the continuous improvement strategy, while maintaining and incorporating new cost-effective solutions for design.
 

To be successful in this role you will: 

As a Senior Engineer for Gas Turbine Fabricated Equipment team, you will be the owner to components mechanical design as a full discipline and, in details, you will be responsible for: 

Modeling, drafting, BOM and manufacturability of the designed components.Drive the design through finite element analyses majoring on life assessment (e.g. LCF, creep, crack propagation and oxidation) and aero mechanics related topics (e.g. modal and forced response for HCF).Direct involvement on test activities starting from purposes and requirements up to the cycle end with data match and models update.Own cost models and should cost analyses. Optimize and simplify the internal standard solutions along with design tools, promoting and developing new ideas.Ensuring Site/Shop support (L3, NCR/SDR dispositions, field & testing issues)Standard maintenance and fleet support (drawing updates, NCA/RCA). Collaborate with global teams and other functions to meet the targets provided. 

To be successful in this role you will: 

Have MSc in Aerospace, Energetic, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.Have a proven working experience in an engineering position for mechanical design.Good knowledge of CAD and FEA software (e.g. Ansys) along with at least basic programming concepts (Matlab)Be able and willing to travel worldwide for short customer/supplier meetings and/or site/test bed support.Be fluent in spoken and written English.
