Senior Engineer - Product Design

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Product Design Engineer to join our team. The Candidate will report to Team lead/Technical Lead, Emerson Innovation Center- Pune. The candidate should work in coordination with Project In-charge. Candidate should work on Engineers assignments such as Modelling, Drafting, perform lab tests, perform FEA analysis, to maintain desired quality levels set by organization. Handle project as Project In-charge. Candidate will be part of new product development team and will work on home appliances. The other responsibility of this position is to support and implement different processes followed by Emerson Tool Company at Emerson Innovation Center- Pune
 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Perform New Product Development engineering activities from EICP. Alignment to organization project management processes. Design and development of different home appliances with UL -1017 and CSA standard.  Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance different testing in labs. Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation. Build prototypes for concepts generation. Perform and document design calculations.  Build 3D CAD models, assemblies, and drawings in NX. Recommend and implement process changes to drive continuous improvement to project schedules for enhanced execution efficiency. Actively participate in continuous improvement and further technology development within our core engineering & design fields. Coordination with Business unit Engineer (St. Louis) & EICP team to get the work done. Validate design by performing FEA analysis.

Experience collaborating with global / remote team members. NX modeling, drafting skill, well versed with Teamcenter activities. Project engineering Management experience for leading a team of 3-4 people. Manufacturing experience of Plastic part process.
  Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Master’s degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering with 5 to 6 years’ experience and FEA with 2 to 3 years’ experience 2 to 3 years’ experience in home appliance product design  Knowledge of UL -1017 standard.
