Your work environment at EXP

EXP is currently seeking a Senior Engineering Geologist to join their team in our Houston office. 


What a day at EXP has in store for you

Lead and manage geological investigations for infrastructure engineering and construction projects. Analyze geological data and prepare detailed reports on findings. Provide expert advice on geological and geotechnical issues to project teams. Develop and implement geological survey plans and methodologies. Conduct site visits and fieldwork to collect samples and data. Assess geological hazards and risks and recommend mitigation measures. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure project success. Review and approve geological and geotechnical reports and designs. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards. Mentor and supervise junior geologists and other team members. Stay updated on advancements in geological science and engineering practices.

 

What your experience looks like

Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Professional Geologist (PG) license or equivalent certification. Extensive experience in geological investigations and geotechnical analysis. Proficiency in geological software and tools (e.g., GIS, AutoCAD, RockWorks). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in project management and team leadership. Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards
