(Senior) Engineering Lead for New Rolling Stock (m/f/d) FlixTrain

Your Tasks – Paint the world green

You are part of the rolling stock team for FlixTrain and shape our long-term rolling stock strategy from a technical perspective You take over the engineering lead of the development and production process of newly built trains, designed to operate throughout Europe and will have a lasting impact on European travel behavior You assess the technical feasibility of concept proposals from manufacturers You ensure that the technical specifications of the train enable future-proof rail transportation You manage sub-projects and take an active role in negotiations with train manufacturers or financing partners You accompany and monitor the production process of trains You work with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper and timely execution of the project plan Your ideas, positive energy and entrepreneurial spirit are needed and appreciated on a daily basis

Your Profile – Ready to hop on board

 

You have more than 5 years of experience in the railway industry and in managing technical projects within the EU. You have an excellent command of English, and proficiency in German is considered a plus. You possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills, along with excellent technical understanding and a high affinity for details and structures. You demonstrate good technical, project management, and communication skills. You can work independently, reliably, and conscientiously. You exhibit assertiveness and strong negotiating skills. You are willing to travel during 20% of your working hours.
