Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide strategic direction, leadership, management, and coordination of the Engineering function within a local division / product group. Supervises a team of service engineers and contributes to the execution of the service strategy and service growth by focusing on delivering timely, high-quality, and cost-effective service offerings, solutions, and projects (e.g., field service, site commissioning) to customers.The work model for the role is: #LI-HybridThis role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, IndiaYou will be mainly accountable for:•\tWorks to improve service availability and quality.•\tProvides technical Authority/solutioning support during the bid phase and supports presentation of proposals to customers (Service Brownfield Bids- Brownfield Modifications and Expansion)•\tDrives continuous improvement culture and the implementation of improvements to achieve service excellence and increase profitability in their own area of responsibility.•\tDrives continuous improvement of field service quality, enabling a first-time-right implementation.•\tConducts regular progress reviews and identifies and manages technical risks. Facilitates problem solving.Effectively utilizes available resources through proper planning and scheduling to meet delivery targets (e.g., On Time Delivery (OTD), response time, ordered service offerings, and update of Installed Based (IB) data).

Qualifications for the role

\tMinimum 15-20 years of experience in Process Automation – especially in the field of Oil & Gas/ Refineries /Petrochemicals\tExperience is Process Control Automation system -Hardware & Application Engineering, HMI Engineering, Library development, 3rd party Communication, Testing, Commissioning\tExperience in Service Engineering of DCS \tExperience in Managing DCS projects - Brownfield scope of work - Application Modifications, Retrofits, DCS controller Migrations, Services, Commissioning\tExperience in ABB systems like 800xA, Advant Master, AC800M, will be an added advantage\tExperience in Managing Brownfield services, Site activities , Onshore/offshore\tExperience in Major ABB Installbase knowledge will be added value\tExperience in Managing service portfolio, with team size > 30-40
