The Electric Rope Shovels Technology and Factory Support Project Manager manages multiple and complex technology projects involving multiple functions, organizations, products, regions and/or value chains and directs the priority for Engineering for Factory Support. This is an individual contributor role within Resource Industries Operations and Products, Tracked Products.
**What you will do:**
Defines and owns Product Group Technology Roadmap aligned with enterprise strategy.
Leverages Technology Synergies across Tracked Products to advance Technology.
Coordinates all Technology Development including facilitation with enterprise partners.
Provides project/program leadership.
Leads and facilitates all engineering Built-In-Quality and Factory Support. Investigation/Resolution/Deviations/All Quality Events/ Non-Conformance Reports.
Manage investigation of open redline prints, working with appropriate design control to have drawings updated and made ready for release. Ensure all required Concurrent Product & Process. Development and design review meetings (if design change) take place as part of this process.
Reports monthly metrics to Engineering and Quality teams.
Support investigation of open Engineering Change Requests to determine if updates to drawings need to be done. If so, have appropriate drawings updated and made ready for release. Ensure all required CPPD and design review meetings (if design change) to take place as part of this process.
Support ISO/ Caterpillar Quality Management System audits (internal and external) and lead product group to develop corrective action plans and timelines for any findings.
Develop project scope to address business challenges and opportunities.
Coordinating resources across sales and marketing, product development groups, value chain and manufacturing.
Overseeing project progress and costs; communicating status with stakeholders and participating functional areas; addressing and resolving problems.
Directing project staffing; motivating and developing project team and team members.
**Degree Requirement:** Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.

• Supervises the advanced use of requirements analysis tools and services, including prototyping and use cases.

• Trains others on requirements walkthroughs and quality reviews.
• Utilizes automated diagramming tools to ensure traceability of requirements.
**Technical Excellence:** Knowledge of technology solutions and ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

**Top Candidates will also have:**
Knowledge of technology solutions development, deployment and/or product support.
Experience with large equipment, mining loading tools preferred.
**Additional Information:**
The primary location for this position is Tucson, AZ.
Domestic relocation assistance is available.
This position may require 10 - 25 % travel.

**Summary Pay Range:**
$144,960.00 - $217,320.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
