As an Engineering Services Senior Technician at the Interiors Engineering Development Lab (EDL), you will play a critical role in driving the success of engineering projects. Working with minimal supervision, you will perform moderately complex technical tasks that directly contribute to the planning, development, and execution of cutting-edge engineering solutions. In this dynamic position, you will serve as a resource on a variety of technical challenges, leveraging your expertise to support innovation and high-quality results.

What You Will Do:

Collaborate to build commercial aircraft seats and furniture, ensuring high-quality and functional outcomes in a fast-paced and demanding environment.Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks, contributing practical assistance to streamline project processes.Confer with engineers on the details and implications of test article and seat builds, procedures, and results, fostering improved communication and outcomes.Demonstrate proficiency with a variety of hand tools to efficiently build and modify seat components with a high-level attention to details.Apply mechanical and manufacturing concepts to ensure precision and functionality throughout the project lifecycle.Communicate effectively with excellent written and oral skills, thriving in a collaborative team environment.Utilize basic to moderate computer skills to support project documentation and daily operations.Leverage working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel to manage data and maintain organized project records.Interpret engineering drawings with accuracy, ensuring adherence to design specifications and technical requirements.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experienceMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience in regulated industries such as aerospace or automotive, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.Proven expertise in testing and quality assurance environments, with a strong focus on delivering reliable and high-performance results.Highly organized with strong judgment, capable of multitasking and adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Proficiency with 2D and 3D modeling software, applying technical skills to support design, testing, and manufacturing processes.Demonstrated knowledge of metal machining and fabrication equipment, ensuring precision and quality in production operations.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 83,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
