About the Senior Enterprise Application Engineer - Application Administrator Role:
To support continued platform development and site migration, the DXP team is seeking a Application Administrator. This position will play a vital role in supporting the DXP solution by supporting the administration and on-going successful maintenance of the various solutions that make up the DXP platform.
Application administrators are responsible for the successful on-going operation of the application environments they are responsible for. They have a deep understanding of the solution and its underlying technology, and how to effectively configure, manage and maintain the solution to support organizational requirements and ensure on-going sustainable operations. They collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure effective backup, security, data and application management practices are in place. They remain current on solution updates, and maintain on-going interaction with solution vendors to understand changes and enhancements and address their impact on existing application capabilities.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Lead the administration and management of the applications and solutions in the DXP platform, and ensure they continue to operate effectivelyProvide day-to-day operational support of the DXP platform, ensuring operational processes and procedures are sustained and monitoring performance measures, dashboards and system logs to ensure reliable operationsLead the troubleshooting and resolution of problems, defects and outages, including coordinating with vendors and implementation partners as requiredMonitor and proactively follow up on outstanding tickets, and ensure SLAs are metMonitor vendor platform updates, reviewing planned updates in advance, providing appropriate notification of impending updates to internal groups, and monitoring and verifying on-going platform performance after updates are completedCoordinate the update of the DXP platform for Humber-managed platform components, including Drupal core and other implemented modules, and coordinating with vendors and implementation partners to ensure updates are managed successfullyManage security profiles within the DXP platform and ensuring roles and permissions are allocated appropriatelySupport the defined access management procedures for the platform to ensure that required access is provided and appropriate roles are assigned to ensure effective security and appropriate segregation of duties, and engaging as required with other ITS areas to coordinate required updates to access management proceduresMonitor and ensure guidelines, standards and content requirements are adhered to across the DXP platform and identify and coordinate the resolution of issues and exceptions to defined guidelinesSupport the creation of new sites in accordance with site migration efforts and new site requirements, and ensure sites are configured appropriately to deliver required site capabilitiesManage deployments of code and sites between environments, and monitor the overall deployment process to ensure sites are updated effectively and deployment impacts are managed appropriatelyCoordinator and manage integration of additional modules into the DXP platform, ensure they are appropriately evaluated and assessed and are reliably able to deliver intended functionalityFind Your Spot at Humber
