Job Title: Senior Enterprise Architect

Overview:

Wolters Kluwer is looking for a Senior Enterprise Architect. The Senior Enterprise Architect will have extensive technical expertise across multiple domains, including cloud infrastructure (public/private), network, security, automation, and storage. This role requires the ability to translate highly technical and complex concepts into businessfriendly language for senior stakeholders while guiding and supporting aligned architects and engineers in delivering architectural solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, DevSecOps, automation, and architectural principles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Architectural Design & Development:

Use appropriate tools and models to contribute to the development of systems architectures in business or functional areas.Produce detailed component specifications and translate them into actionable designs for implementation.Develop technical plans and ensure the availability of the necessary technical resources for execution.

 Technical Expertise:

Provide technical guidance on system development and integration.Ensure alignment with technical strategies, policies, standards, and security best practices.Lead the development and communication of IT systems architecture strategies, integrating DevSecOps principles for agility, scalability, and security.Act as a mentor to architects and engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative technical environment.

 Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

 Translate technical complexities into business-friendly language for senior stakeholders.  Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on objectives and expectations.   Utilize feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve stakeholder management processes and outcomes.

 Implementation & Quality Assurance:

Ensure implementation projects are executed efficiently, maintaining consistent information flow between customers and the project team.Develop and implement quality plans, monitor effectiveness, and recommend improvements as needed.Identify opportunities to enhance the performance and scalability of IT systems, recommending and implementing appropriate solutions.

 Compliance & Security:

Ensure DevSecOps practices are aligned with security best practices and compliance standards.Address security vulnerabilities and mitigate risks through proactive design and development.

Continuous Learning & Knowledge Sharing:

Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in IT architecture.Pursue continuous education and demonstrate knowledge through industry certifications.

Other Duties:

 Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications & Experience:

Requirements:

Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 6 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture.Proven experience designing and implementing secure, resilient, and scalable systems using DevSecOps principles.Solid understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).Hands on experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and infrastructure management.Deep knowledge of cloud computing technologies and architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).Experience implementing security controls and compliance standards (e.g., NIST CSF, OWASP, CIS Benchmarks, GDPR, etc.).Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

 Enterprise Architecture certification (e.g., TOGAF Certified). DevSecOps certification (e.g., Certified DevSecOps Engineer). Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Experience working in specific domains or industries (e.g., Tax, Health, Legal, Governance, Risk, Finance, etc.).

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Certifications:

 AWS Certified Solutions Architect. Azure Certified Solutions Architect. Strong knowledge of Information Security and Networking Technologies.

Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities.Strong communication and presentation skills.Project management skills, including financial/budget management, scheduling, and resource allocation.
