We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

The position will be filled as a Sr. Environmental Compliance Coordinator. There is one position which will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Dominion Energy is looking for an Environmental professional to join its team at Millstone Power Station in Waterford, CT. Remote work is allowed up to 2 days per week with remaining days spent onsite at Millstone Power Station. Work schedules are subject to change due to business needs. The successful candidate will:
•    Ensure company compliance with environmental, chemical management, waste management, oil, NPDES water and state air permit regulations at Millstone Power Station.
•    Have responsibility for safe and efficient operation of work site, to comply with regulatory and company standards and procedures.
•    Serve as liaison with external and governmental agencies.
•    Coordinate with and monitor operations and maintenance personnel, to ensure site compliance with environmental, chemical safety, waste management, and wildlife management rules and regulations.
•    Complete inspections and self-assessments, providing recommendations on compliance issues to management.
•    Keep management apprised of site environmental compliance.
•    Serves as site coordinator with internal department and external agencies on environmental or chemical management issues at work site(s).
•    Procure services or materials for the administration and implementation of environmental programs.
•    Create and provide training to site personnel and Environmental peers in handling chemicals, oil, and waste materials, or in other procedural requirements.
•    Evaluate new regulations and coordinates compliance plan.
•    May analyze data, prepare management reports, and update procedures.
•    May identify potential environmental risks and recommend corrective measures.
•    Coordinate compliance with Dominion's Environmental Management System.
•    Provide on-call environmental support to the station as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience required for entry into this job include the following:

 

Sr. Environmental Compliance Coordinator:  5+ years of directly related experience with a preferred Bachelor's degree (Or 7+ years of directly related experience with Associate's Degree Or 9+ years of experience with High School Degree / equivalent) . Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications; A master’s degree can count as one year experience Strong knowledge of various environmental regulations across all media and applicable permits which include NPDES water programs. Proven ability to develop, implement, and administer complex environmental compliance plans and processes Ability to interpret and/or apply environmental requirements to company operations and translate regulatory regulations, permit, and plan requirements into understandable compliance guidance Ability to prepare and/or review compliance and regulatory documents and reports Strong technical writing, communication, and public relations skills Strong data analysis and record keeping skills Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel and Power Point) Excellent organizational, time management, and leadership skills Ability to work independently and to be self-directed, but also use teamwork as needed. Ability to work in field environments and industrial settings. Ability to manage contract resources Ability to diplomatically handle sensitive situations with regulatory agencies, the public, and company personnel at all levels. Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor
