Responsibilities Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects, for multiple Phoenix clients, of medium to large sizes of moderately complex nature Responsible for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standardsDirects several subordinate supervisors or team leadersResponsible for training and monitoring internal staffInitiates and maintains extensive contacts with key engineers and officials of other organizations and companiesHas full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignmentsPlans and develops projects concerned with unique or controversial problems that have an important effect on major organization programsDevelop standards and guides for diverse engineering activitiesDetermine program objectives and requirements and organize programs and projectsInvolved in exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation, and development of novel concepts and approachesResponsible for acting independently and making authoritative decisions on technical mattersInvolved on team that prepares proposals, conducts interviews and negotiates contracts with clients after selectionDevelops significant relationships with new and existing clients and has responsibility for client maintenanceSupports firm's relationships with client management personnelResponsible for identifying and directs sub consultants performing services on projectsActive in professional associations, including presentation of technical papers, member of technical committee, officer of local or national organizationMinimal travel is required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical EngineeringRegistration as a Professional Engineer20+ years of professional experience (exclusive of any advanced degree)Experience includes water and/or wastewater treatment facilities, wastewater collection systems, water transmission/distribution projects, pipeline rehabilitation projects, and pump stationsAbility to deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraintsExperience in the design and construction phase of small, medium, and large sized water and/or wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standardsAbility to evaluate progress of staff and results obtained, and recommends major changes to achieve overall objectivesAbility to communicate effectively with multiple clients and project teams Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering Other Compensation and Benefits
