Introduction to the job
As the Senior Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of complex equipment in a multi-faceted manufacturing environment. You will be a key technical, maintenance program leader for Optical Fabrication, providing daily updates for equipment statuses, maintenance performance, and open tasks, and continuous improvement. You will engage in the adoption and industrialization of new products and new processes through collaboration and partnership with Operations and Engineering. You are an effective team player who prioritizes the success of the team just as much as personal success.
The Senior Equipment Maintenance Technician will be primarily supporting Advanced Correction and Metrology (ACM), Optical Fabrication Plano (OFP), and Optical Fabrication Spherical (OFS) work centers. You will be working with diverse Optical Fabrication equipment, which will involve a high degree of oversight and care.
As a member of the Optical Fabrication Production Support Team, you must display a structured systematic problem-solving approach and resolution and encourage innovative ideas and ways of thinking to maintain and enhance processes. You must be able to work and communicate effectively with various stakeholders (Peers, Production Operations, Equipment Engineering, and Production Engineering), across all shifts, to maintain production continuity and meet business goals.
Roles and Responsibilities:
This is a first shift position, Monday – Friday, with occasional overtime or weekend repairs or project support needed.
Serve as the main point of contact for escalations, and delegate necessary tasks to the team.Create, maintain, and monitoring work schedules with clearly defined priorities. Conduct large team meetings and provide daily reports to the Production Support Group Leader. Develop preventative maintenance methods to maintain and verify the health of equipment. Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and statuses.Collaborate with Management, Engineering, and Technicians, to establish and complete priority activities and maintenance schedules.Provide additional support, when needed, to other Optical Fabrication lines of business (Coating, Contact Etch Litho)For excessive downtime or repeating events, participate in structured problem solving with team, using 4C or A3 problem solving formats.Maintain safety stock, organized in a 5S LEAN way, with accurate availability.Ensure Production Support Team succeeds at supporting Optical Fabrication operations.Education and experience
The position requires a minimum of 8 years of electro-mechanical experience, and one of the following: Associate degree, Technical Certification, Automotive Certification, Military Technical training, Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or a similar major.Experience with CNC, Polisher, or other complex manufacturing equipment preferred. Previous leadership experience highly preferred.Prior control systems integration experience highly preferred.Siemens or Allen Bradley Controls/ PLC experience a plus.Strong LEAN manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience.Computer proficiency with MS Outlook 365 applications, with knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP system.Familiar with working in ISO9001 and ISO14001.Skills

You will be required to wear PPE and embrace ASML 5S requirements.Occasional overtime may be needed. Typically handles parts that could weigh up to 35 pounds.Will be required to stand, sit, kneel, and bend to load and unload the surfaces of the machine tools.Production areas are maintained at 70 to 76 degrees and 40 to 50% relative humidity.The noise level in the manufacturing areas is usually moderate.Occasional travel may be required.This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
