Senior ESG and Climate Consultant

This is an opportunity for a mid-senior level professional looking to further advance their career with a global environmental leader, and to make a significant impact in successfully implementing APTIM's global sustainability growth strategy. The successful candidate's primary function will be to lead a team of professionals in the implementation of ESG reporting and climate assessments primarily for large commercial clients. This role will also support APTIM's growth strategy to expand our sustainability, resiliency, and climate change consultancy services to our customers. Outstanding communication, presentation and relationship management skills are required. At APTIM, we commit to provide every employee with work that is worthy of their time and talent. **What you can expect from APTIM:** + Work that is worthy of your time and talent + Respect and flexibility to live a full life at work and at home + Dogged determination to deliver for our clients and communities + A voice in making our company better + Investment into your personal and professional development **Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:** + Lead the management and implementation of a wide range of ESG reporting and climate-related assessments, in alignment with leading frameworks + Develop and review client deliverables + Support business development activities with existing clients and identified leads + Mentor and coach team members + Provide subject matter expertise to support both internal and external initiatives + Possibly additional responsibilities, depending on candidate preference, experience, and aptitude: + Deliver webinars and speak at industry events + Manage a team of sustainability professionals + Produce thought leadership **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree. Preference for those with a focus on engineering, finance, economics, business administration, or other business -or ESG- related discipline, strongly preferred. Master's Degree preferred. + 10+ years' experience in environmental consultancy + 3+ years of experience leading ESG reporting consulting projects + Working knowledge of key ESG frameworks and regulations including GHG Protocol, CSRD, TCFD, GRI, SDGs, CDP, SBRI, and SFDR + Strong project management and consulting skills + Excellent communication (written/verbal), strategic thinking, negotiation, presentation, and "people" skills + Must be a self-starter, organized and have an ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment + Proficient Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint + Ensure compliance with all APTIM quality and safety policies as well as all OSHA regulations APTIM is committed to providing a benefits package that accomplishes the primary purpose of our programs which is to protect and promote the health and financial well-being of our employees and their families.
