At Tutor Perini Building Corp you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of large, high-profile projects that impact your community. _Extraordinary projects need exceptional talent_ We are seeking a **Senior Estimator** that will report to the Vice President of Preconstruction. **Responsibilities** + Quantify, analyze, and disseminate, to project estimating team, the detailed project program (i.e. work breakdown structure, room counts, functions, areas, etc.) during a project kick-off meeting + Review, interpret, quantify, and accurately estimate cost, and the project documents + Identify and mitigate project related risk + Solicit, collect and critically analyze Subcontractor/Vendor budgets, bids or quotations associated with assigned projects or packages + Review and verify Scope of Work and pricing (Subcontractor Analysis Sheets) of other project team members when acting as project lead estimator + Presents the project scope of work, estimated costs, risks and opportunities to management during the final review of assigned estimates + Participate in the presentation of proposals, budgets, etc. to clients and prospective clients + Coordinate the delivery of appropriate project files for assigned projects to Operations Staff during a project turnover meeting using the Turnover Meeting Agenda and Checklist + Participate and coordinate participation of project estimating team in the buyout process with operations + Complete all required paperwork for bids or proposals (such as bid forms, bonding requirements, etc.) + Provides support to Project Operations Team for Change Order estimating, extended buyout after Contract or turnover to Operations Team and other estimating support as required + Assists in development training, coaching, and orientation of Estimators + Visit Tutor Perini Building Corp. project sites as frequently as practical to observe construction operations at various phases and becomes familiar with jobsite logistics, means and methods, and Operations personnel + Create the first pass General Conditions estimate when acting as Lead Estimator + Be involved in preconstruction Training Programs, becoming proficient in all aspects of preconstruction **Requirements** + Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management or similar from an ABET accredited institution + 5 or more years of relevant estimating, project management and / or construction experience + 5 or more years’ experience estimating for projects in buildings sector + Previous estimating experience on projects over $50M in value + Good communication skills to effectively solicit and work with individual project owner’s representatives, material suppliers and subcontractors in pre-bid estimate preparations and post-bid negotiations + Capable of effectively working within a cohesive estimating staff to facilitate comprehensive cost proposals and conclude efforts during joint venture team reviews on major projects when applicable + Previous experience in alternative delivery methods such as design/build is preferred + Knowledge of lodging and gaming vocabulary and facility program components + Experienced in estimating software tools On-Center, Insite and Timberline or similar Tutor Perini Building Corp. builds extraordinary projects, and we need exceptional talent.
