Position: Senior Estimator with a General Contractor Client of Aplin on full time permanent basis.

Location: Ottawa, ON (with on-site visits as needed)

Opportunity Summary:
Collaborate with Regional Management Team to identify and pursue new market opportunities aligned with regional resources and industry trends.Build strategic relationships with stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and government entities.

Key Responsibilities:
Support project development to secure projects, ensuring performance, schedule, and profitability targets are met.Drive bid strategies and provide preconstruction services such as budgeting and value engineering.Manage project setup, scheduling, procurement plans, and risk assessment.Oversee project budgets, subcontractor contracts, and project execution plans.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or engineering.PQS, CET, or P.Eng designations preferred.10+ years of “hands-on” experience in the capacity of Cost Consultant or Estimator including a full range of project delivery methods including lump sum, construction management, and design-build. This should include direct estimation experience of large commercial, Highrise, civil, and/or institutional construction projects $30M and greater. Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in estimating software and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
