We are looking for a Senior Estimator who will be responsible for the overall planning and coordinating efforts to produce comprehensive project cost estimates. This position will take a lead role in providing data and cost analysis for estimate reviews and presentations.

Responsibilities Prepare cost estimates assuring all necessary costs are detailed and included in the estimate, such as management services, equipment and material costs, construction costs, operating costs, and other costs associated with wet pipeline projects. Attend client pre-bid meetings, complete jobsite visits, and keep a record of all verbal information disseminated by the client during the pre-bid meeting and RFQ process. Prepare project cost estimate from the client’s RFQ documents and drawings, and any other information learned during the bidding and award process. Know and be able to explain details behind each estimate, including the basis of the man-hours allocated for each task, personnel resources needed to execute each task, etc. Maintain lines of communications between company departments, project manager and client with regard to cost estimating activities. Utilize the company approved costing methodology, data, and systems to present estimate results in a detailed breakdown format suitable for use by the project manager and the project team. Contribute to the development of Estimators and support personnel in the Estimating department through training and mentorship. Work with other BPC teams in the successful completion of projects throughout the project lifecycle by assisting with change orders, takeoffs, constructability analysis, and cost forecasting. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum 10 years of experience in project cost estimating and project management with an emphasis in wet pipeline industry projects required. Full understanding of Civil Drawings, Water District Standards, Soils Reports, & Project Specifications required Plan Takeoffs Utilizing Onscreen Programs (Planswift, OST, Bluebeam, Etc…) Proficiency with entire Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, & Project) Ability to communicate effectively and able to provide high-level service in a fast-paced environment Excellent interpersonal skills.Pay range: $120,000 - $175,000/yr based on experience
