Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be a part of the Transportation team, based in any of our Florida offices (Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, Orlando or Tampa)

 

What a day at EXP has in store for you

The In-House Consultant(s) will provide project management support to include:

Developing and/or updating schedules Monitoring the status of work orders Reviewing the deliverables of other consultants under contract with the MDO unit Attending meetings to represent FDOT with other agencies Attending internal technical committee meetings Responding to public inquiries Preparing scopes and cost estimates Coordinating and corresponding with internal staff and external agencies providing professional opinions and assessments to FDOT management Review of Freight Master Plans Attendance at meetings and public forums addressing Freight Master Plans or project-specific issues Involvement in efforts to improve freight mobility, freight infrastructure, and related operations Review of technical reports including, but not limited to planning studies, traffic studies, PD&E studies, scoping documents, and other freight/multimodal related studies Research and composition of white papers on topics related to freight and multimodal accessibility Preparation and delivery of presentations to partner agencies, stakeholder organizations, and the general public Compilation, organization, and analysis of data Assistance in administrative tasks

The candidate will also provide assistance reviewing Agency’s electric vehicle policies

Identify and Analyze Policies that Impact the Acceleration of Electric Vehicle Adoption Conducting research transportation electrification technology, markets, and policy to a team that is using groundbreaking data analytics techniques. Review recommendation solutions and policies to federal government decision makers to accelerate EV adoption and charging infrastructure build-out.

 

What your experience looks like

Bachelor’s degree in urban and regional planning, engineering, geography, public administration or directly related field. At least 2-year of experience working for a public transportation agency is preferred, or any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above Vehicle to travel to Agency’s office in Miami – Five (5) days a week
