Senior Event Manager, Vice President

Who we are looking for

Responsible for supporting and reporting to the MD, Global Head of Events and Sponsorships, on the regional implementation of the client events strategy for large, visible industry and proprietary events role is based in Boston.This role will work closely with the executive committee, senior management, business and channel heads and sales / client relationship teams to activate the event strategy and increase engagement with key external stakeholders.Cultivating a high-performance team committed to meeting individual and overall development objectives through effective goal setting, ongoing assessment, and engagement opportunitiesResponsible for developing an integrated marketing approach for event activation, including PR, social, content strategy, client and internal communications, lead generation and marketing analyticsDriving operational excellence within the events team – implementation of global best practices and efficiency through maintaining and enhancing control procedures.Actively partnering with key regional vendors, consultants and outsourced providers to provide cost effective and innovative methods of operation.Oversight, governance, and reporting of Boston corporate hospitality program, inclusive of our relationships with venues like Gillette Stadium.The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, global environment – while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. They must also demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.

What you will be responsible for

As an <Senior Manager> you will

Implement and oversee a team executing 30+ event engagements per year. Developing and leading an integrated marketing approach for regional event activations, including PR, social, content strategy, client and internal communications, lead generation and marketing analytics. Develop communications plans across event lifecycle including client communications, agenda programming and promotions.Ensure effective communications strategies across event lifecycle including client communications, agenda programming and promotions – all aligned to State Street’s thought leadership insights.Oversee regional events team as well as coordinate with other leads across State Street, CRD and SSGA to ensure alignment across client event experiencePartner with global events colleagues as well as marketing channel leads to ensure alignment across client event experienceRegional reporting including calendaring, event guides, budget and metricsVendor management, including governance and due diligence requirements.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

A minimum of 7-10 years experience with project managing event programs; preferably in B2B financial services environmentProven ability to plan, manage and execute multiple events simultaneouslyExperience in event engagement and sentiment analytics.Considerable knowledge of vendor and third-party project management and negotiationProficient in MS Office and CRM toolsExperience with social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook)Experience in digital events tools, both collaboration and virtual events platformsSelf-sufficient, prepared to work on both strategic and tactical activities; ability to work autonomouslyModerate experience with video and podcasting platforms and the associated promotion of posted contentWilling to manage schedule; occasional weekends and evenings required20-30% travel; assessed in accordance with recent and updated company policies

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $177,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
