Senior Event Sales Manager

The Senior Event Sales Manager is a key leadership role responsible for driving high-end event sales, developing strategic partnerships, and securing premium event bookings. This position requires a proactive sales approach, strong relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of luxury hospitality and the Bangkok events market. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record in securing corporate events and social gatherings.

As a senior leader this role involves mentoring junior sales team members, developing innovative event sales strategies, and ensuring seamless coordination between clients and internal hotel teams to deliver exceptional event experiences.

Strategic Sales Business Development

Proactively identify, source, target and secure new business opportunities for luxury events, corporate functions and social celebrations.Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to increase event revenue and maximize occupancy of event spaces.Conduct high-level sales calls, presentations, and site inspections for corporate clients, event planners and luxury brandsBuild strong relationships with high-profile clients, decision-makers and influencers in the luxury hospitality and event industry.Leverage existing networks and attend industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to generate leads.Actively connect with Hyatt Sales Force Teams across the region and internationally to keep Park Hyatt Bangkok top of mind and generate high-value leads.

Client Relationship Management

Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering tailored event solutions that align with Park Hyatt Bangkok’s luxury brand positioning.Maintain strong relationships with repeat and VIP clients, ensuring personalized service and loyalty.Work closely with external vendors, event planners, and corporate partners to enhance the hotel’s event offerings.Handle complex negotiations and high-value contracts with precision and professionalism.

Event Planning Execution Collaboration

Collaborate closely with the Event Planning, Food Beverage and Banquet teams to ensure seamless execution of events.Provide leadership in translating client visions into extraordinary event experiences that align with Park Hyatt standards.Ensure clear and effective communication of client expectations to internal teams through detailed event briefs.Personally oversee high-profile events to ensure flawless execution and client satisfaction.

Revenue Optimization Reporting

Drive revenue growth by strategically upselling premium services and packages.Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive insights to refine sales strategies and escalate concerns or required changes in direction to Director of Events EAM SM.Assist Director of Events with sales forecasts, reports and performance analysis.Optimize pricing strategies and sales approaches to maximize profitability while maintaining brand integrity.

Operational

Maintains a detailed knowledge of Hotel facilities, features and services.Professionally conducts routine telemarketing activities to identify new business opportunities.Meets and greets VIP guests upon arrival/ departure.Conducts regular Market Surveys and Competitor Researches.Implements all Events action plans related to responsibility areas as outlined in the Marketing plan.Assists Events Buddy to follow-up on all matters in the absence of Events Buddy.Reviews and constantly seeks Productivity level improvements through the process of “taking work out of the system” (when appropriate) and thorough streamlining of work process.Obtain all the clients event requirements and communicate this information to Leadership Committee (LC) and Operational Department HeadsReview Event Files to ensure correct booking procedures, including Group room and meeting programs, event set up and themes, contractual agreements, etc are in order

Other Duties

Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming.Maintains strong, professional relationships with the relevant representatives from competitor hotels and other organisations, including tour operators and local travel agents.Attends training sessions and meetings as and when required.Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.Must remain motivated, competitive and accountable and possess a solid understanding of current industry trends both local and international.Ensure all employees provide a courteous and professional service at all times Handles guest and employee enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst feeding back a prompt follow up.Take an active involvement in the Welfare, Safety, Development and wellbeing of employees providing advice, counselling and truthful, diplomatic feedbackEnsure high standards of personal presentation and groomingMaintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.Exercise responsible management and behavior at all times and positively representing the hotel management team and Hyatt InternationalRespond to requests to undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties and to changes as dictated by the hotel, industry and company
