Senior Events Manager - O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law – Georgetown University Law Center

The O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law was established in 2007 through the generous philanthropy of Linda and Timothy O’Neill to respond to the need for innovative solutions to the most pressing global health concerns. In bringing together experts from both the public health and legal fields, the O’Neill Institute reflects the importance of public and private law in health policy analysis.

Job Overview

The Senior Events Manager plans, executes, and evaluates in-person and virtual events that are in service of the Institute’s mission and vision.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Lead on designing, executing, and evaluating in-person and virtual events Manage event budgets, including expense trackingManage relationships with event vendors and partners across Georgetown campuses and beyond Provide strategic event guidance to Institute leadership Assist with event marketing and promotion Mentor and support the Institute’s events associate 

Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Communications, the Senior Events Manager works closely with the Senior Director of Finance and External affairs and the Chief of Staff to develop event budgets, reporting, and analysis. They also serve as an advisor to the Director of Strategic Communications and to substantive directors across the Institute on event strategy.

This position has been designated as Hybrid. Requirements and Qualifications

Six to nine years of experience in managing and executing eventsDiplomatic and friendly personalityCollaborative spirit with solid relationship-building skills across all levels of an organization Detailed-orientation and superior organizational skillsCreative problem solver with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environmentExceptional skills for handling multiple tasks with competing priorities and changing circumstances Excellent project management skillsStrong communications skills, both oral and writtenExperience creating content for social media and newsletters Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in SpanishExperience with Airtable and SlackExperience with WordPress

Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:

$66,783.00 - $126,720.23

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
