LinQuest is seeking a Senior Evolved Strategic Systems (ESS) Program Systems Integration Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA. Due to security requirements, work is required to be on-site in a secure facility. 

LinQuest is the prime contractor on the MSEIT contract. By applying to this position, you are in consideration for LinQuest employment. However, you also have the option to be hired by one of our subcontractor teammates.

You will join a Systems Engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting Air Force Military Satellite Communications. You will support Systems Engineering & Integration activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. The Systems Integration Engineer will interface and collaborate with SE&I team members, contractors, government civilians and members of the USAF. The Systems Integration Engineer will lead and support several working groups responsible for leading technical discussion, resolve and identify risk, requirement gaps, developing briefings, writing and tracking action items, and authoring meeting minutes.

The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Air Force’s Space and Missiles System Center. We support the Air Force’s acquisition of state-of-the-art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement integration strategies and processes to successfully integrate satellite communication systems, segments (Ground, Space, Crypto, Terminals), subsystems, elements, and components; manage the technical baselines among different stakeholdersPerform analysis of the systems requirements that define the technical baseline and verification of the technical baselineApply Digital Engineering methods and modeling strategies (i.e. Digital twins) to support integration and test activitiesWork with Government and contractor personnel to close gaps of customer requirements among the programs; support major requirements reviews, design reviews, and other associated meetingsLead and support Government/Contractor Working Group meetings—by developing briefings, leading discussion, and writing minutes—to address/resolve risks, issues, and action itemsReview proposed changes to the technical baseline for impacts to enterprise capabilities and to cross-stakeholder integration concernsDefine and deliver alternative of solutions to address different integration challenges; manage schedule impact and overall delivery of productsFacilitate review of program documents by providing comments, compiling other reviewer comments, and working with contractor to adjudicate the comments. Serve as a subject matter expert to assess technical issues and to prepare briefings to U.S. Space Force program office personnel and other stakeholders; provide courses of actions to support Government decisionsSupport management of risks, issues, interdependencies, identifying schedule disconnects and conflicts, developing action plans for resolution, and assisting the Government in executing selected solutions

Qualifications:

Required:

Active Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearanceMS in technical field, such as engineering and computer science.15+ years demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering 10+ years demonstrated experience leading technical teamsStrong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skillsProficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)Due to security requirements, work is required to be on-site in a secure facility

Desired:

PhD in technical field, such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer scienceExperience with MILSATCOM, such as AEHF, PTS, EPS, WGS, and FAB-T terminal programsExperience working with military and DoD civiliansExperience with ground and airborne systems, such as terminals and networksDemonstrated strong Systems Engineering and Technical Leadership experienceKnowledge and experience in Agile Development and collaboration tools (Jira/Confluence)

Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from approximately $140,000 to $200,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
