Job Description We are partnering with a reputable shipping company to recruit a Senior Executive/Deputy Manager (Fuel Procurement) to join their growing team.
About the Role:
This position focuses on overseeing marine fuel procurement for container vessels, ensuring the provision of high-quality fuel at competitive rates across key ports. Responsibilities include negotiating with various suppliers, including oil majors and independent traders, to secure cost-effective fuel contracts. The role also involves managing fuel quality and quantity issues, addressing any claims, and collaborating with service providers such as surveyors and laboratories. Additionally, the role encompasses managing invoices, payments, and supporting operational tasks related to fuel procurement.
Requirements:
Education & Experience: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the shipping or maritime industry. Skills & Expertise: Strong negotiation skills in bunker procurement, with a solid understanding of the bunker industry and fuel specifications. Personal Traits: Excellent communication skills, ability to multitask and manage tight deadlines, and a positive attitude towards achieving results. How to Apply:
