Amazon.com
The global AWS Startups organization is seeking an experienced Executive Communications Manager. The Executive Communications Manager develops and owns communications and engagement plans that enhance and distribute the organization's vision and goals to our internal and external audiences globally.
This role calls for someone who has high customer obsession and delivers results through effective communications. The right candidate will design messaging plans that are both proactive and reactive based on active listening and data-driven insights from customers and employees. They will identify high-value topics and impactful messaging that will reach our audiences effectively, and they will develop compelling, data-rich content that informs and inspires. They will balance proactive guidance and flawless delivery and will be a trusted partner across the organization’s senior leaders. The right candidate will demonstrate a strong history of delivering results by producing high-quality, clear content, and having secured stakeholder trust. They will insist on highest standards for quality and attention to detail while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
The Startups organization matches our customers’ energy, speed, and curiosity, and the right candidate will have these same qualities. Curiosity about new initiatives that could impact our customers and employees is a must. The right candidate needs to have a bias for action and be a self-starter. They must be comfortable taking risks and raising the bar for new, innovative ways of doing things. The right candidate also must be well-versed in public-facing content (e.g., social media posts) and have a penchant for short-term, mid-term, and long-term planning simultaneously.
