Job DescriptionThe McDonalds Global Experience Design team is a key part of the Customer Experience team (MCX), which provides user-centered experiences that deliver a cohesive and meaningful experience for customers and restaurant team members around the world.
As part of the Global Experience Design team, you’ll help lead the evolution of our design language across digital interfaces and experiences for our customers and restaurant team members.
Your responsibilities will include:
Creating systemic, user-centric solutions that scale to meet business goalsDriving the evolution of the design system by researching and implementing best practices, considering market analysis, customer feedback, metrics, and usability findingsPartnering closely with product management and engineering teams to drive innovation and efficiencyCrafting and maintaining a comprehensive design language and component libraryDefining and implementing design standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure a cohesive user experience across all products and platformsActively driving the design review cycle Effectively leading collaboration across teams; not just gathering business requirements but supporting definitionAdvocating for the value of the design system across the organization, promoting its benefits in terms of efficiency, consistency, and user experience qualityApplying Accessibility best practices (WCAG) across the system in partnership with the digital accessibility teamQualificationsTo succeed in this role, you’ll have 8+ years of deep, demonstrable experience in the following areas:
Elevating the quality of experiences through your industry-leading expertise in visual style, interaction patterns, and emerging design trendsDefining what best-in-class looks like for designers, engineers, and product managers, and showing them how to get thereRegularly auditing existing experiences to improve on or incorporate components, patterns, and tools that scale consistency and efficiencyEmphasizing the customer and business value of inclusive interfaces and experiences that incorporate WCAG, Apple HIG, and Material Design best practicesManaging complexity and ambiguity while leading through craft in partnership with the senior manager of design systems and design directorUnderstanding of CSS, Angular, React, and other frameworks and technologies for front-end developmentYou’ll knock our socks off if you have:
