Senior Facilities Manager
**Overview** We are looking for a forward-thinking **Facilities Manager** to join our growing team. In this leadership role, you will oversee the maintenance and repair of key facilities and critical infrastructure, ensuring they provide a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for the entire campus community. You will manage a multi-million dollar budget for a large complex of buildings encompassing over 1MM SF of space. You will also be required to ensure 100% uptime of critical infrastructure. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program. **Essential Functions:** + **Lead and Empower Teams** : Supervise and mentor a diverse team of maintenance professionals in a 24x7 environment, promoting a culture of respect, collaboration, and inclusivity. Inspire your team to perform at their best while fostering their growth and career development. + **Prioritize and Plan** : Oversee the planning, scheduling, and prioritization of maintenance tasks, ensuring work is performed efficiently, safely, and with minimal disruption to campus operations. + **Technical Subject Matter Expert:** Lead problem solving efforts and root cause analysis for complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety systems. Implement processes to ensure 100% uptime of critical infrastructure. + **Drive Sustainability and Innovation** : Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to maintain optimal conditions for campus facilities and reduce the need for emergency repairs. You will also have the opportunity to innovate and introduce sustainable practices that align with our company values. + **Cross-Departmental Collaboration** : Work closely with various departments to coordinate maintenance and repair work while minimizing operational disruptions. + **Budget and Resource Management** : Manage budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints. Oversee procurement of high-quality and cost-effective materials and supplies. + **Compliance and Safety** : Ensure all maintenance operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as ABM’s quality control policies. Lead the way in promoting a safe and secure working environment. + **Reporting and Data Analysis** : Provide regular updates on maintenance operations, including progress reports, financial data, and performance metrics. **Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field (preferred). + 5+ years of experience in facilities management, with a focus on higher education or large-scale multi-building/campus environments. Experience in critical environments/data centers a plus. + Proven leadership experience, with strong team-building and motivational skills. + Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience working with diverse stakeholders, including staff, students, faculty, and external vendors. + Strong project management skills with experience in planning and executing large-scale maintenance projects. + Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and budgeting principles. + Strong analytical abilities including extensive experience with Microsoft suite of programs including Excel, PowerPoint and Word. **Why You’ll Love Working Here** + **Leadership & Growth** : ABM is committed to developing its leaders.
