Senior Federal Site Civil Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer with a strong background in Department of Defense (DoD) projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience working with a federal agency such as (but not limited to) NAVFAC, Army Corps of Engineers, Air Force, Marines, FBI, CIA, Federal Law Enforcement Training, Department of State, or Public Safety Building. This role requires a Professional Engineer (PE) license and the ability to obtain a secret clearance. This person will be joining a thriving company in the A&E space working as a design lead for Federal projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Specifications (60%):
Develop and oversee design specifications using Civil 3D and PCSwim.
Redline specifications and ensure compliance with all required permits.
Prepare plans, calculations, and narratives for project submittals.
Oversight and Administration (40%):
Oversee junior engineers and Engineers in Training (EITs).
Participate in meetings and mentor junior staff.
Oversee production design, ensuring quality and accuracy.
Sign and seal project documents.
Travel to various DoD sites as required (less than 10% travel).
