About the job:

Kent is looking for a Senior FEDM to be based in Iraq.

The Senior FEDM role is to ensure that all projects follow the ORS, are credible and competitive when handed over to project execution and contribute to deliver of a plan to stop flaring and black smoke from LR1 fields in southern Iraq. This particular FEDM role will be accountable for the project portfolio associated with Liquids (Propane, Butane, Gasoline) through the Um Qasr System.


Skills and Responsibilities:

The FEDM is the overall accountable party for leading the technical evaluation and selection of a the technical solutions to be executed by the project execution team Post-DG3. The FEDM directs the technical team in maturation of project deliverables. The primary responsibilities for the FEDM are:


Technical Opportunity Lead and single technical accountability point for Front End projects.Manage Front End integration and provide leadership across all the technical disciplines for Front End phases (Identify, Assess and Select)Maintain the production forecast for the area assigned and ensure that projects are adequately prioritized in alignment to production forecasts from upstream operators and define best execution sequence to maximize gas capture, gas/liquid processing and export.Identify and evaluate a range of technical solutions to satisfy the project mandateSelect a credible and competitive technical solution based on project mandate and value driversIdentify and manage both upside and downside risks across the TECOP dimensions.Ensuring decisions are taken at the right level and are supported with suitable decision analysisManage stakeholder relationships interfaces on the technical side, including those which require technical alignment and Interface with BOM and Upstream Operators for assigned project area.Support and provide information/data for the assurance deliverables such as ITR and SAR, and keep Technical Assurance Committee and Higher Management Committee informed as applicable.Interface with Assets and Operations to define future Asset project and activities, including brownfield modifications.Develop the FEED scope of work for the Define phase, and provide support to the project team during the Define and Execute phases (post DG3).Ensure process safety (RAP actions, Safety cases, Operations Learning) is adequately reflected in Front End scope of assigned project or activity.Drive the integration of credible and competitive technical solutions that minimize GHG impact of projects. Facilitate project information to HSE to update the Green-House Gas and Energy Management plan (GHGEMP) as opportunities progress though ORS.

The FEDM may, at their discretion, delegate any of these responsibilities to another member of the project team (i.e. concept engineer/ process engineer/ project engineer), however, the accountability for delivery will remain with the FEDM.


Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

Accredited FEDM Level 3 minimum.Seeking a strong value integrator with a demonstrated track record of delivering opportunities strongly to DG3.Ability to work pragmatically in the application of the ORS, scaling where appropriate.Experience of managing a portfolio of small and large projects, and balancing the priorities of growth, asset integrity, environment, and production protection.Expertise in Surface facility optimisation, with particular experience in onshore gas and liquids processing.Ability to work as a rotator. Being one-team, enabling and informing your back-to-back so that jobs keep moving forward regardless of your presenceMentor/Coach for local Iraqi staff into more responsible positions.

Excellent Interpersonal Skills, collaboration and the ability to build trust with the tight-knit team.Strong Competitive Scoping Skills.

Be Aware: As a rotator you will be working 12hrs a day, 7 days a week for 4 weeks in a row in an office. In the evening you will be living in a walled camp but with excellent facilities near to an operating ga plant. Your daily freedom is significantly restricted as are the people you will interact with. We all look out for each other. You need to be confident that you will thrive in this reality.
