ABOUT THE ROLE
The Field Install Technician at\nHoneywell is responsible for commissioning Honeywell control systems, including\nHVAC, fire, and security control systems. These systems are engineered by\nHoneywell's in-house engineers, installed by electrical subcontractors, and\nthen commissioned by Honeywell field technicians in commercial buildings such\nas office buildings, schools, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers,\netc.

Key Responsibilities:

Continuously\n improve commissioning practices, specifically reducing commissioning hours\n per device and/or hours per system using Honeywell Operation Systems\n techniques.Demonstrate\n expert knowledge of Honeywell systems and Industry Best Practices.Install\n pre-engineered software, checkout control systems, start-up and commission\n systems, and fine-tune operations as per customer requirements or job\n specifications. Use productivity tools such as wireless commissioning to\n improve efficiency.Troubleshoot\n hardware and software issues, make changes to meet specification\n requirements. May involve re-engineering effort or system re-design.Perform\n Open systems and/or 3rd party integrations.Be\n aware of Honeywell's scope of work and protect financial impact due to\n changes by supporting and obtaining change orders wherever appropriate.Ensure\n that Configuration Management policy is followed, which involves back-up\n of all changes on an ongoing basis during installation and final archiving\n of Honeywell hardware and software on Honeywell Server (ADEPT).Coordinate\n with other trades and Customer/General Contractor/Mechanical Contractor,\n as well as with the Solution Design Center or local engineering, to\n understand scope, hardware, software, graphics, and as-built details.Support\n sales/project manager on surveys, application selection, layout of\n potential retrofit opportunities, high-end complex integrated/networked\n solutions, and be able to present to customer/consultants whenever\n required.Carry\n out hazard and risk assessments for all tasks according to Honeywell\n policy and regulatory requirements. Keep\nall required documentation and paperwork up-to-date.

Requirements:

3+\n years hands-on experience with control systems.Hands-on experience with HVAC systems, building automation control systems, or other automation control systems.Experience\n with programming, PC, and general network knowledge.1+ year\n of experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet browsers.Ability\n to travel throughout the service area, with occasional overnight stays.Valid\n driver's license with a driving record acceptable to Honeywell standards.High\n School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability\n to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and diagrams.Diagnostics\n and troubleshooting skills.Expert\n knowledge of HVAC systems, control systems, mechanical system operation,\n and building facilities and automation.Expert\n network and integration abilities to be able to work on multiple protocols\n like BACnet, Modbus, OPC, LON, etc.Niagara\n N4 experience.Niagara\n certification.HVAC\n license.
