Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute is searching for a Senior Field Robotics Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment.
We are seeking creative and energetic Senior Field Robotics Engineer who acts as team leader for research projects specializing in Field Robotics. Working with principal investigators, formulates and proposes new research goals and applications based on overall organizational goals. Advises faculty in the design of field robotics systems and deployment for experimentation and application. Leads and executes the design, fabrication and development of field robots and mentors junior staff in the same. Mentors junior engineers in the design and fabrication process and in field experiment design and execution. Supports major field experiments including planning, execution, data collection and analysis as well as documentation of research findings.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the design, development, and analyze complex software and robotic subsystems/components.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
3-5 years of Relevant Work Experience
