Smith+Nephew is hiring Senior Finance Analyst – Global Functions.
The FP&A Centre of Excellence (COE) is at the core of delivering quality insights and performance management that help Smith+Nephew achieve our Life Unlimited purpose. Established in 2020, the COE is a world-class, integrated FP&A organization, proud to collaborate, innovate, and support multiple functions across the business.
As an FP&A Analyst, you will join the Global Functions FP&A team to provide high-quality decision support and insights to senior leadership, including the CFO and CIO Leadership Teams. Your role will span budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and supporting strategic decisions across finance and IT functions.
What you will be doing?
Prepare and review monthly financial performance reports, including forecasts for expenses and headcount.
Consolidate financials for Global Finance, including budgets, forecasts, strategic plans, and actuals.
Partner with functional leaders to understand performance, optimize spending, and support decision-making.
Drive process improvements, standardize reporting, and ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls.
Develop and distribute templates for budgeting and forecasting, managing associated consolidation and reporting.
Leverage advanced analytics tools (Excel, PowerBI, etc.) to create dashboards, improve insights, and streamline processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and implement best practices.
Provide ad-hoc support for transformation projects and functional initiatives.
What will you need to be successful?
A minimum of 6 years of finance experience, including process and business partnering roles in a multinational environment.
ACCA/ACA/CIMA certification or active progress toward one of these qualifications.
Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerBI; experience with TM1, Hyperion, or SAP is a significant advantage.
Demonstrated experience with automation tools (e.g., Automation Anywhere, Alteryx) and interest in data science, automation, or AI.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
Fluent English (verbal and written) at C1 level.
