Senior Finance Director

Join our team as a Senior Finance Director in Independence, Missouri at the Lake City Ammunition Plant. 

Starting Salary: $220,000 plus additional bonus
Schedule: Monday - Friday, on site 
Relocation Available

Focus:  This position is the senior finance role at one of the world's leading ammunition manufacturers.  This is a highly visible role with significant impact to the Winchester business.  The Finance Director leads a team of 5 direct and 11 indirect reports.  This position is a likely successor role for other executive finance positions at Olin.  This is a unique opportunity to provide financial oversight to 3 distinct and different businesses within the Lake City footprint.  

Finance Director Essential Functions: 

Develop and oversee the financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Provide analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making by senior leadership. Formulate, monitor, and manage the organization's budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and compliance with regulatory requirements Prepare, present, and deliver accurate and timely financial reports  Oversee financial aspects of government contracts, ensuring compliance with contract terms, cost accounting standards, and relevant regulations. Identify, assess, and proactively manage financial risks associated with operations and contracts, implementing strategic measures to mitigate these risks and safeguard financial stability. Coordinate and manage both internal and external audits and implement necessary corrective actions based on audit findings. Establish financial policies and procedures to ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance with regulations. Participate in contract negotiations, leveraging financial expertise to secure favorable terms, and concurrently, develop and review pricing strategies for government contracts. Lead and develop the finance team, cultivating a collaborative and high-performance culture, while also providing mentorship and guidance to foster the professional growth of the finance staff. Interface with government representatives, agencies, and auditors to address financial matters and maintain positive relationships.

Finance Director Position Requirements:

Bachelor's and/or Master's degree* in Finance or Accounting or a Business degree* with emphasis in Accounting or Finance. 10+ years of strategic finance experience which includes managing complex US government contracts. 5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role. Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) preferred. Proven track record in successfully managing and executing government contracts from initiation to completion. Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). In-depth understanding and experience utilizing Costpoint for financial management and project control.

Location Requirements:

This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.  This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required. This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies.
