Senior Finance Manager
The Opportunity
The Senior Finance Manager will provide strategic/operational decision support as well as traditional Finance support (i.e., FP&A, budget planning and forecasting, reviewing month-end close, etc.) to Site Services, as well as Portfolio management of local Corporate Groups.
As a Senior Finance Manager, you will:
Influence strategic directions with a vision towards investment decisions
Architect financial planning and analysis processes towards efficient and effective delivery
Assess business financials to catalyze performance improvements
Coach finance and business stakeholders to deliver with financial integrity, insight and influence
Key Responsibilities:
As a member of the business partners’ Leadership Team and/or support such teams as needed, provide financial and non-financial support to assist in decision making
As a member of Site Operations Finance Leadership Team, have responsibility for consolidating the Site Services and G&A Corporate Groups financials
Partner with various global finance teams in providing transparency into Genentech corporate group financials; be subject matter expert on local and group reporting for corporate functions; partner with eCOE on US Affiliate deliverables for G&A
Lead forecasting and analysis efforts in support of planning deliverables in alignment with corporate objectives and timelines
Lead all aspects of planning and execution of the annual local Corporate overhead allocation process, including communication with Receiver functions
Lead annual Corporate Groups Business Review process and timelines with individual stakeholders
Mentor and coach talent within Site Operations Finance
Manage ad hoc local and global projects and initiatives as they arise
Who You Are
Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline; MBA, CA or CPA preferred.
10-15+ years of relevant financial experience
Track record of successful partnership with senior-level leaders
Proven leadership experience working through complex cross-functional processes
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong financial analysis skills, including business case modeling and framing of sophisticated financial issues
Innovative, strategic thinker with proven ability to solve and implement solutions to complex business scenarios
Comfortable working in a fast-paced changing environment and related ambiguity
Uses influencing skills to achieve results
Attention to detail, while exhibiting the ability to see the “big picture”
Expert capability with Excel/MS Office; Google Suite and SAC Planning
CAPEX experience is highly preferred
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, California is $160,200 - $297,600. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
