Senior Finance Officer - Northern Hub

The Role:

 

Oxfam Syria is looking for Senior Fianace Officer

To be responsible and accountable for day-to-day management of a defined accounting area.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:

ESSENTIAL   
•    Sound judgement.  
•    Listening  
•    Self-Awareness • Decisiveness • Self-Awareness In addition:   
•    University Degree in Finance or Accountancy qualifications. 
•    4-5 years of experience in finance with INGOs/NGOs including budget management, Payments reviewing, financial reporting.                         
•    5-8 years of relevant experience in Finance sector.
•    Management of budgets: 2-3 years including preparation, monitoring, forecasting of budgets
•    Demonstrated experience of Team management and capacity building of teams.                                                
•    Competency in use of relevant technology systems (MS Office suite, financial accounting, and  
•    accuracy skills)
•    Reporting skills with experience for 2-3 years (internal reports and donor reports)
•    Working with Audit experience 2-3 years
•    Proactive engagement, collaboration and working in partnership with country office to achieve financial deliverables and inform decision making.
•    High degree of accuracy, analysis and attention to detail                                                                                      
•    Fluency in Arabic and English (written and verbal)        
•    Strong influencing and networking   
•    Good planning skills to include flexibility and adaptability.
•    Excellent follow up skills.      

Desirable  
•    Master's degree in relevant filed like economic, banking, Accounting.
•    Recommends, influences and implements improvements.
•    Previous experience of People soft database. 
•    Proactive in anticipating problems.
•    CMA is an advantage.
