We are seeking a talented individual to join our MMC Ireland Controllership team at MMC and will be based in Dublin.
\nThe role sits within MMC Ireland Controllership team and will be dedicated to the Marsh business in Ireland. The successful applicant will support the wider Finance team and will be responsible for reviewing periodic financial information to ensure that the business’ internal and external reporting requirements are met.

\n\n

This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

\n\n

\n\n

We will count on you to:

\n\nReview of revenue accruals to ensure consistency with US GAAP Revenue Recognition.\n\tOversee offshore accountants and review their accounting and tax outputs.\n\tReview of periodic financial reports as well as investigation of and explanations on main drivers of variances.\n\tManagement and oversight of:\n\tMaterial Corporate & Fiduciary cash balances\n\t\tFX exposure on foreign currency funds/bank accounts\n\t\tAccounts Receivables and Intercompany\n\t\n\t\n\tReview of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to the Group, Boards and Regulators.\n\tLead completion of annual statutory accounts, including UK Branch accounts\n\tLead review of Tax returns (Corporate, VAT, ERR, BIK & PSA taxes)\n\tAssistance with statutory SLA management and monitoring new transactions where SLA’s might need to be put in place.\n\tAssisting with any strategic initiatives, Board requirements, risk assessments, and other local ad hoc projects as required.\n\n\n

What you need to have:

\n\nSufficient years of experience in Finance/ Accounting preferably in an insurance/ re-insurance or insurance brokerage environment.\n\tThe successful candidate should be diligent and enthusiastic with a proactive and flexible style of working as well as a proven ability to collaborate.\n\tPersonality to interface regularly with various team members and lines of business to clearly articulate issues and solutions\n\tStrong organization and time management skills with ability to set priorities and meet deadlines\n\tProven ability to build relationships, influence, and communicate effectively\n\tA questioning mind-set as well as strong attention to detail\n\n\n

\nWhat makes you stand out:

\n\nStrong knowledge of how the Insurance/ Brokerage industry works\n\tKnowledge of Oracle Financials, HFM an advantage\n\tDegree in finance, accounting, business or economics\n\tProfessional Accounting Qualification with relevant work experience in a corporate/ multinational finance department\n\n\n
