Job Overview

UC Blue Ash College (UCBA) is seeking a Senior Financial Administrator to oversee various fiscal administrative activities for the college. This position will act as a subject matter expert by training and mentoring other members of the college in the areas of travel and purchasing card (p-card) expense reports and asset purchase requisitions and contracts. Other duties may include accounts payable and receivable transactions, treasury related functions in allocating budgets and transferring funds, processing of internal orders and journal entries, budget formulation duties, and generating financial reports.



The Senior Financial Administrator reports to the Business Officer of UC Blue Ash and will work closely with other team members within the UCBA Business Affairs and UCBA Human Resources departments. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, documentation skills, as well as exceptional organization, and time management ability.

 


This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with the option for two remote working days per week during the academic year with the possibility of an additional remote day during the summer. Residence must be within the Cincinnati Tri-State area (OH/IN/KY) with reasonable distance to campus to have the ability to report to campus as required. Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.  The Senior Financial Administrator is full time staff position (100%FTE.) This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Essential Functions Oversee the college’s travel and purchasing card (p-card) expense reports utilizing the Concur platform. Oversee asset purchase requisitions and follow up on purchasing contracts through the University’s PACE system. Regularly train and mentor other employees in the use of Concur and PACE acting as the college’s subject matter expert. Maintain frequent communication with employees to send reminders and audit reports to ensure that all deadlines and compliance goals are met for various college financial transactions. Process various accounts payable and receivable transactions. Monitor funds received into the college from U-Pay Stores via the TOUCHNET platform. Assist Human Resources staff to process SAP personnel transactions and recurring payments in a limited capacity. Completing treasury related functions related to allocating budget and transferring funds. Set up various internal orders and complete journal entries for payments and financial transactions. Assist in the development of and implement policies and procedures to ensure financial compliance with university, state, and federal regulations. Assist in the college’s budget formulation process under the guidance of the Business Officer. Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time. Required Education Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other related fields. Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Required Experience

Three (3) years of experience in accounting or finance.

Additional Qualifications Considered Experience in higher education and working with faculty members. Experience with financial applications such as: SAP, CONCUR, PACE, and TOUCHNET. Detail oriented, organized, strong analytical ability, and teamwork skills. Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
