Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Infra Finance

The Position You will join the Americas Financial Planning and Analysis (AMER FP&A) team within AWS Data Center Finance. The position will contribute to driving standardization and team efficiency for the Americas region. You will be responsible for coordinating and liaising with the Global FP&A team and the Americas regional finance team. You will support regional finance with the regular planning and forecasting cycles for both OpEx and CapEx. You will also provide support to operations with headcount reporting and productivity reporting. This role will also support ad-hoc analysis and reporting related to data center operations and new site growth. This is a highly visible role as your outputs are included in reporting packages that go to senior leadership and decision makers. Key job responsibilities • Partner with Data Center regional finance teams to meet finance objectives. • Report weekly and monthly financial and operating metrics. • Provide ongoing headcount management reporting and analysis. • Monitor and enhance existing processes and controls. • Develop new processes to deliver insights as the business changes and grows. About the team The AMER FP&A team supports the financial rhythms of the business, including the annual operating plan, long range plan, regular forecast process, and for providing analytical support to senior management. You will help establish the pace of the finance team to ensure it delivers actionable insights in a timely and efficient manner. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science) - 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 2+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience - 2+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience Preferred Qualifications - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - MBA, or CPA - Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
