Position Overview:

We are looking to hire a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing Finance team. This position will be responsible for effective, accurate, and efficient handling of all aspects of financial planning, along with building and maintaining sophisticated Power BI reports and dashboards. 

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in building a best-in-class FP&A function by focusing on commission and revenue analytics. This role offers the opportunity to influence decision-making through insightful analysis, streamlined processes, and clear communication of financial data. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with exceptional analytical skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  

Commission Calculation & Management:

Manage the end-to-end internal and external sales commission calculation process, leveraging Power BI for automation and accuracyServe as the subject matter expert (SME) for sales commission plans, policies, and their strategic rationale, providing guidance to stakeholdersEnsure data integrity and accuracy across all systems involved in the commission payroll process, including Salesforce, NetSuite, and Power BIRespond to internal and external commission related inquiries

Analytics & Reporting:

Build and maintain sales compensation analytics, delivering actionable insights for sales teamsCreate and present concise executive summaries to highlight key takeaways and enable data-driven decisions by leadershipPrepare monthly and quarterly revenue and commissions reporting packages that track KPIs, such as Annual Contract Value (ACV), sales opportunities, and implementation metricsPerform ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions at various levels of complexity

Process Optimization & Policy Development:

Streamline and optimize commission reporting and calculation, making recommendations for process improvements to enhance efficiencySupport the design, implementation, and documentation of new sales quotas and commission plans, utilizing performance metrics to refine structures

Revenue Forecasting & Planning:

Lead  efforts in revenue reporting and forecasting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goalsCollaborate with Sales and Implementation teams to develop reliable revenue forecasts and identify areas for growthContribute to the Budget, Quarterly Forecasts, and Long-Range Planning (LRP) processes by preparing detailed analyses and scenarios

Insights & Decision Support:

Collect, organize, and analyze data sets to create meaningful insights that inform strategyProvide thought leadership on key financial metrics to support sales performance, revenue growth, and profitability Requirements

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as: Economics, Accounting, Finance, Applied Mathematics3 years of hands-on Power BI experienceKnowledge of Salesforce.com preferredExpert data visualization skills (Power BI, Tableau)Demonstrated experience with enterprise data, especially ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP)Knowledge of relational databases (e.g. MS SQL Server, Snowflake, Oracle)Demonstrated ability to tackle problems across the full data stack, from data wrangling (leveraging SQL or other methodologies) to stakeholder consumption at scaleAbility to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiencesDetail-oriented with a high level of precision in data analysis
