The What

The Sr. Financial Analyst will provide financial reporting, planning, and analysis to support Canada T&O operating and functional areas. The Sr. Financial Analyst excels in establishing effective working relationships with business partners in Canada and the US that contribute thoughtful analysis for decision-making.  The Sr. Financial Analyst has a strong passion for quantitative analysis, working cross functionally, and establishing new and innovative ways to improve business processes and tools.

The How

Participate in the monthly, quarterly and annual planning and forecasting activitiesBuild and maintain customer / business unit P&Ls and determine price, volume, mix and cost components that explain the variance to budget, forecast and prior yearPrepare monthly and quarterly analysisProvide Senior Finance leaders with a recap of the actual results with a detailed analysisIdentify and communicate financial/operational trends that represent a significant impact to the businessIssue routine reporting and tracking of detailed financial information needed within the businessPrepare financial presentations and reports for various levels of senior leadership, with the ability to highlight the most relevant and important findingsDemonstrate logic and a creative approach to problem solving while providing insightsProvide ad hoc support and analysis, inclusive of strategic findings and recommendations, to Finance and Operations organizations to drive decision making for the leadership teamDevelop and implement improvements to business processes and toolsOther duties as assigned

 What we need:

 Bachelors in Finance or Business programCompletion of CPA designation or MBA degree, or pursual of either designation(s)Minimum 2-3 years related experienceStrong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to analyze, evaluate and summarize financial information for accuracy and conformance to procedures and regulationsProficiency in SQL based database management, MS Access, Snowflake, or similar system. Ability to build, modify and execute queries. Advanced Excel user, experience with integrated data visualization tools such as Power BI; Hyperion, EPM;Familiar with ERP systems such as SAP or similar systemsWell organized with analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh energy/self-motivationAble to adapt with change and work under pressure in a detailed, accurate, and deadline-based environment
