Department OverviewThis role will be in the Business Finance department providing support to the Supply Chain organization from a financial perspective. Product FP&A team - where the role belongs to - is responsible for preparing reports on financial performance tailored to the needs of the leadership. Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts. Study and analyze trends and forecasts to inform recommended actions.
Job Description

As a senior accountant, you will fill a critical role in our cost accounting team providing support to day-to-day full cycle operations of Video business and  its manufacturing units located in Texas/US. SAP is the main accounting system.

The ideal candidate is a technology & system-savvy, self-starter, excellent problem-solver, detail-oriented, highly analytical hardworking individual who is able to multitask, work independently, and successfully communicate with internal departments, management, and customers on a daily basis. Most importantly, we are looking for an individual who is highly motivated and excited about a role in a rapidly growing environment. 

 Key Responsibilities:

Review inventory related transactions and check if they are properly accounted in General Ledger and perform necessary adjustment via manual journal entries for related issues

Perform closing of Inventory periods

Perform monthly inventory accounts reconciliation as per corporate submission deadline

Cooperate with Supply chain making sure they are equipped with necessary reports and analysis

Perform annual cost reformation activities

Update and maintain cost and conversion cost for Tetra cost book where applicable

Perform cost per unit analysis and variance analysis

Prepare and analyze Inventory Excess and Obsolescence Reserve for quarterly review

 Work with IT on resolving various issues mainly related to SAP or Greenfield system

Identify process improvement opportunities and process simplification to improve efficiency in day to day tasks

Support SOX and audit requests where needed

Participate in any ad-hoc assignments.


Basic Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration 

5+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting 

SAP accounting system knowledge is a plus

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and/or Google Sheets 

Solid understanding of how ERP, IT and other systems are designed and integrated for scale, efficiency and the impact on accounting and business operations 

Self-driven and highly motivated 

High attention to details and excellent organizational skills 

Ability to work independently and be a team player 

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills 

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills including experience building and maintaining a diverse set of relationships 

Proven experience working on a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and deliver results on-time with quality 

Ability to understand and quickly learn new accounting software and other systems.
