Do you have strong analytical skills, advanced proficiency in financial tools, and the ability to communicate complex financial data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders? We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst at our Global Headquarters in Allentown, PA who will play a key role in providing strategic insights and financial analysis to drive business decisions. The incumbent will support the Industrial Gases Americas Segment centrally managed cost activities and is a critical position in Air Products’ Financial Planning and Analysis organization (BDS Americas). The main area of focus of this role will be providing decision support related to maintenance spend. Support could also be provided to other functional areas including, Operations, Business Management & Supply Chain, Procurement, Strategic Marketing, Commercial, and Application Technology teams.

Required Skills / Abilities:   

Cost accounting knowledge required.Project management and project control skills.Ability to work and interact with a variety of teams and departments.Strong Excel and presentation skills required.Ability to influence stakeholders.Experience with data modeling and visualization tools is a plus.Proficiency in SAP and BW queries.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Support the PROS Turn Around team by acting as the key partner from Finance on all major maintenance events.Complete ‘affordability analysis’ by assets, calculating how much should be spent on large maintenance events and making strong recommendations to the business.Develop and own long-term plans and KPIs that drive improvements related to OI, OROI, and net distributable cash.Transfer established best practices and learnings to other areas of maintenance spend, expanded beyond major turnarounds.Develop tools to automate processes and leverage data to predict and calculate spend.Support the quarterly Capital Forecast process.Demonstrate effective communication through engagement with director and VP level business partners.Act as a lead for other analysts and CDPs.Support completion of the month-end close cost analysis of centrally managed functionsMaintain and improve analysis files.Interpret results by identifying major factors/variances and translating the data into concise and actionable information.Support the development of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts.Liaise with other Finance and Business Services colleagues to understand results and learn.Analyze balance sheet accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

5-10 years finance experience.Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar.
