Senior Financial Analyst
Fast-growing IT-services firm working with the Federal Government is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst in the metro D.C. area. This position will report to the Manager of Client Financial Management. The Sr. Financial Analyst will analyze past and present financial data, estimate future revenues and expenditures, and collect, monitor, and study financial data in order to recommend actions. This position will work closely with multiple teams and requires strong communication skills, analytical analysis skills, as well as an understanding of the federal procurement process. The Sr. Financial Analyst will be working in a dynamic environment with career advancement opportunities. Responsibilities: + Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual bottoms-up sales, revenue, and cost forecasts at a project and organizational level + Maintain rolling forecasts and quarterly outlooks for mid to large-sized programs + Assist with consolidation of project level results and forecasts at a portfolio level + Develop reports and presentations for monthly and quarterly reviews with program and senior management + Analyze company performance and provide recommendations to management for decision making purposes + Serve as finance lead and provide oversight on recurring finance support efforts, including but not limited to monthly subcontractor accruals and reconciliation, labor / timecard support, project setup and revenue recognition, internal controls and compliance requirements + Collaborate with and lead cross-functional initiatives with finance, program delivery teams, and indirect support organizations + Assess strategic initiatives and perform special projects for finance leadership Qualifications: + Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or related field required + 2+ years’ experience in Program Finance, FP&A, or corporate / public accounting preferred + Strong experience in Excel modeling and Powerpoint required + Advanced understanding of US GAAP + Prior experience in government contracting, commercial consulting or public accounting preferred + Prior experience in Costpoint, Cognos, Salesforce + Strong problem solving skills and the ability to think on one’s feet + Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment + Ability to work well with others as well as independently with limited supervision EEO Requirements It is the policy of ASM that an individual's race, color, religion, sex, disability, age, gender identity, veteran status, sexual orientation or national origin are not and will not be considered in any personnel or management decisions.
