Job Description Summary

Leads the organization's accounting activities, including financial record keeping and reporting.

Job Description

Creating reports on financial performance for internal and external use.Performing balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.Creating and utilizing automated tools for the updating, analyzing, and reporting of consolidated financial results.Maintaining records of organization's financial activity in accordance with GAAP, organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.Creating reports on financial performance for internal and external useCompleting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to foreign exchange, cash management, and tax, including preparing the appropriate audit work papers for such activities.Supporting and assisting junior accounting staff in the development of their professional skills.All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

3-5 years of experience required, experience in  manufacturing environment preferredBachelor’s Degree in Accounting / FinanceStrong knowledge and experience with budgeting, costing, forecasting, and reporting systemsSelf-directed and self-motivatedHigh level of independent judgment and thoughtStrong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsEstablished track record of continuous personal improvementHigh level of analytical and problem solving ability where problems are unusual and complexKnowledge of accounting practices and procedures
