Senior Financial Analyst | Raleigh, NC | Contract to Hire This Senior Financial Analyst position will have you working with one of Raleigh’s most esteemed waste management companies. It is a major diversified environmental services company in North America offering solid waste management, liquid waste management, and soil remediation services. Necessary Skills and Strengths: Accounting | Financial Analysis & Reporting | Reconciliations | General Ledger | Month End Core Experience: + 5-7+ years of experience as an Accountant or Senior Accountant + Strong analytical skills, decision-making, and initiative + Outgoing, proactive, and able to communicate effectively and persuasively. + Experience with ERP systems (Workday) and Excel – pivot tables, v look-ups, sort & filter, subtotals, import/export Responsibilities of this Role: + Manage journal entries and major amortization entries during the monthly close. + Reallocate invoices correctly across US and Canada business units. + Handle complex balance sheet reconciliations involving large volumes of GL data. + Consolidate and summarize data, which may include over 10,000 lines of GL data. + Continue the project of centralizing US property tax accruals. + Review P&L at the end of the month to ensure accurate and complete entries. + Review reconciliations.
