Senior Financial Analyst
You will partner with of the Commercial Risk National Practice leaders and Finance colleagues around the Region to drive actionable analysis and insights to help business leaders make better decisions. This position plays a critical role supporting strategic planning, forecasting, and variance analysis to key Commercial Risk business leaders, as well as owning end-to-end reporting and providing actionable business insights. What the day will look like + Lead the development of annual Practice Group budgets and forecasts, working closely with business partners and finance colleagues around the region to gather inputs and pressure test assumptions. + Analyze financial performance including actual results compared budget, forecast and prior year, providing key insights on variances. + Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and business decision making, including revenue, expense, profitability, capacity analysis and scenario planning. + Provide timely financial reporting package to business leaders and finance stakeholders monthly. + Partner with US Regional finance leaders and cross functional accounting teams to articulate the impact of changes to fee revenue at a granular, client by client level and incorporate into rolling forecast projections. + Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes ad improve financial reporting. + Ensure best practices in financial planning and analysis, ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial data. Skills and experience that will lead to success + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. + 4+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a related field, with experience in the insurance or professional services industry strongly preferred. + Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis using Excel; experience with financial planning tools such as Workday, Tm1 or similar systems. + Ability to work collaboratively across functions & teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. + Organized and strong attention to detail. + Strong understanding of GAAP. Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $80,000 - $90,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, Illinois The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
