The Opportunity

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in coordinating financial activities for CMI R&D and Quality. This includes managing the Plan, LBE, Update, and LRP processes. The role involves maintaining master schedules for CMI R&D and Quality, overseeing the budgeting and actuals reconciliation for Quality and R&D cost centers, and serving as the key financial contact for the San Diego Distribution Center. Additionally, the analyst will provide significant support to the Controller for FP&A, reporting, and actuals activities related to R&D and CMI Quality.

What You’ll Work On

Coordinate financial processes for CMI R&D and Quality, including Plan, LBE, Update, and LRP.Maintain master schedules for CMI R&D and Quality.Manage budgeting and actuals reconciliation for Quality and R&D cost centers.Act as the primary financial contact for the San Diego Distribution Center for Plan, LBE, Update, LRP, and monthly reporting.Support the Controller with FP&A, reporting, and actuals activities for R&D and CMI Quality.Coordination of CMI R&D and Quality Plan, LBE, Update and LRP/OEM financial planning processes including creation and distribution of templates, instructions and guidelines for all R&D and Quality cost centers. This requires extensive interface and coordination within the cost center owners interacting directly with operations leadership. Coordination of San Diego Distribution FP&A activities with local leadership.  Coordinates with Orlando Global Business Services.Consolidation of CMI Quality and CMI R&D Plan, LBEs Updates and LRP/OEM financial processes.Ensures completeness and accuracy of the financial plans.Analyzes and prepares presentations of financial materials for meetings with the    division and BU senior leadership.Prepares monthly results schedules, reconciling between Plan/LBE and actuals.Provides direction for the development of the local master data.Interpret financial results and recommend options based upon analysis of data and information.Contributes to the strategic planning process by providing baseline information and financial support to non-financial managers.Establishes partnerships within the supply chain and operations organizations to acquire information.Understand other viewpoints cultivating open and honest relationships while promoting common goals.Responds to ad hoc financial requests, supporting business and leadership requests.Key lead to the financial planning processes.Provide direction to Operations Financial Analyst to prepare financial planning, actuals and ad-hoc queries.Goal setting and measurement are made against these submissions.The integrity and validity of financial information is critical to the organization in making timely and informed business decisions.Operates with a significant amount of autonomy, works independently, and proactively navigates the BU network to accomplish goals/tasks.

Required Qualifications

Required:Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field4 years of experience performing financial and variance analysis, forecasting, and planningProficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Demonstrated experience working with financial system applicationsStrong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.Ability to work on multiple priorities and execute in a fast-paced environmentPreferred:Advanced level degree(s) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related fieldPrevious experience working in a geographically diverse business environmentWorking knowledge of Power Planner/BI, GPR

The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 – $145,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
