Senior Financial Analyst
The Senior Plant Accountant is an accounting position that supports the month end accounting process at Winland Foods. This role will assist the Plant Finance and Controllership teams with maintaining the day to day integrity of financial data and ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of the month end close process and the financial statements. This position will provide analytical support to business units through maintaining and integrating accounting systems, audits, and month end reporting. They will also assist with other areas such as Financial Shared Services, Engineering, and Operations Reporting. This position reports to the Area Finance Manager over the Condiments Organization.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Accountable for driving a timely close process, accurate financials and strong internal controls.Leads tasks/projects related to driving profitability, budgeting, audit and capital.Performs month end work including preparation of journal entries, analysis of accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and reportsAssists team members with complex tasks and escalated issues related to month end work.Reviews and analyzes accounting work to ensure tasks are complete and accurate.Assists with the reporting over monthly financial resultsParticipates in ongoing Sarbanes-Oxley compliance reviews and maintenance.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree preferredMinimum of five years of progressive accounting experience required; Manufacturing experience preferredCPA preferredDemonstrated track record of accomplishing objectives and solving problemsMust be a highly motivated, results driven, and self-starting individual who can use their work experience and apply theory to prepare cost analysisProcess improvement experience preferredAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and monitoring progressKnowledge of financial systems and multiple ERPs (SAP preferred)Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Teams) requiredExcellent communication skills (formal and informal) with business acumen and ability to communicate within all levels of the organization, setting a tone of working in partnership and collaborationOccasional travel to business meetings may be required
