**The Opportunity**
Currently, we are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to add to our team in Winnipeg, MB. The incumbent will manage the accounting and finance functions for the Westeel Winnipeg facility. This includes performing general ledger functions, the preparation of monthly financial statements and the management of documents and job tasks that feed into those areas.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform month-end duties including but not limited to the monthly revenue recognition, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and other month-end journal entries.
+ Ensure accuracy and integrity of financials reporting through compliance with internal controls on financial streams.
+ Work closely with parent company’s finance team to support their Financial Reporting Requirements.
+ Ensure documents and practices surrounding material integrity and inventory/asset management are in place and effective.
+ Review costing and billing reports to analyze financial performance and assist in projections on forward looking forecasts.
+ Work closely with local office team members as well as with AGI team members and external auditors or accountants.
+ Support decision making through various reviews and analysis of data as required.
+ Identify and implement process improvements and cost savings initiatives.
**Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s degree in the field of accounting or finance.
+ CPA designation or enrolled in the CPA PEP program is required.
+ Minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience in accounting, preference may be given to those with manufacturing or cost accounting experience.
+ Advanced Excel proficiency, ability to work with complex formulae, VBA, and/or SAP are considered an asset.
+ Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
+ Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
+ Demonstrated sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in challenging, fast paced and steadily changing environment.
+ Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups.
+ Experience in the administration and maintenance of accounting systems and processes.
+ Ability to problem-solve and make sound recommendations pertaining to organization effectiveness.
+ Travel requirements: Limited, but a few trips each year are possible.
